So I have been a very busy bee of late! I have been working as a student ambassador at uni and today I was assisting in the Fashion Interviews for next years newbies! Man, they all look so nervous! It was a casual 9-5 jobby and afterwards I felt a sense of accomplishment. I also got told that my Kickstarter fund were being transferred today!!
Yeh.
I raised..... £1,003 in total for my Kickstarter which means I am fully funded!!! I will be doing a shout out etc in time but for now.... WOO HOO!!!! >.<
So, thats bug news. The other relatively big news is that I have entered a competition on ArtsThread. The breif was to design an item for the Urban Outfitters Winter Gift Shop 2014. There were a number of choices of what type of product to make but I decided to design a women's sweater. Here is my entry-

If I am one on the 16 winners then I get $1000, $500 to spend in Urban Outfitters and my garment made and sold in store! I will definitely be buying one if mine gets made! I think this is a great opportunity to be recognised as a designer but also to see if I have what it takes for a pattern cutter to understand what I'm getting across.
Got an email from two members of the Arts Thread team saying my entry was awesome and also alluding to the fact that the judges are looking at my garment RIGHT NOW!.....well, not RIgHT now :D
So that is another thing to look forward to. At the moment, project wise, I am just sketch booking like mad to influence my line up and designs as well as preparing colour and mood boards and also draping and practising my drawing skill.
On a completely unrelated note, I am getting contacts tomorrow. SPOOKY!
